barber's pole

I had been on the look out for an old-fashioned barber's pole to photograph, but the ones I found were distinctly from the 1970's. At least nowdays the barbers no longer perform surgery or tooth extractions and the pole (when it hasn't been replaced by a sign) isn't a bloody rag wrapped around a piece of wood.
