helado

A good meal down at the fisherman's village, followed by some good ice cream, although not for me; I'd already had my quota earlier in the day.

flamenco

This is Jose, a friend of our friends Benn and Kate, who provided a perfect end to a great birthday party (Benn's 40th).

sofa

Yes, it really is a sofa that's been dragged up to the cliff top walk at Torredembarra. It's got a perfect view out to sea and is very comfy. Become the sofa's friend on Facebook.

Had a stroll through the market at Tarragona and saw these cute chicks.

strawberry pizza

Liam made some truly delicious dessert pizza - strawberries, Nutella and whipped cream. Yum.

playa

Went down to the beach at Torredembarra, Liam had an evening swim and cliff and I sat on the beach and caught up after a week apart. Perfect end to the day.

100ml

I used to be completely on board with the 100ml limit on liquids when travelling. But is it all still really necessary? I think we should be told. What I don't understand is that you can take as many items 100ml and under AS LONG AS THEY ALL FIT INTO A TINY PLASTIC BAG. What do you think my chances are of getting a 250g jar of Marmite through Gatwick tomorrow? The UK.gov website clearly states the 100ml limit is for liquids only - Ive got my speech ready about how grams measure mass and mls measure volume. Wish me luck :)

donut

I'm spelling it the American way 'cause these are definitely Homer's donuts. I read an interesting article on Americanisms this week.

potter

Just back from seeing the last ever Harry Potter film; dark, good and a little unsatisfying.

oops

One hundred and ninety odd days in and I missed my first photo of the day. I am blaming it on post-festival exhaustion and the fact that I spent most of the day on the sofa. So this was taken the following day. So day 192 photo was actually taken on day 193. I will try harder in future.

Airbourne

If you like AC/DC, then you'll love Airbourne. They're from Australia too. Not to be confused with the US jazz band of the same name. The lead singer/guitarist climbed up the lighting rig at one point and played on the roof of the stage. Rock and roll.

Saturday, 9 July 2011

I'm with the band...

...and err, Wallace & Gromit. These guys spent the entire weekend dressed like they're in Steel Panther. They were hard to miss. Not sure how Wallace & Gromit got in the picture. They were obviously a couple and it was a little weird seeing them having a snog later.

camp

The camp at Knebworth for Sonisphere; before the Big 4 and the calm before the storms of days two and three.

mugs

These are our mugs for Sonisphere; we'll be the envy of the whole festival I expect :) Well done Benn and Kate for supplying the metal mugs and metal stickers.

zorb

This is Liam doing some zorbing, down at the beach festival on Hove Lawns today.

dial

I much prefer the old fashioned dials we used to have on telephones. Not too fast if you had to dial 999 though.

lighthouse

Well, it seems to have gone pretty quick, but we are halfway through 2011 and I am halfway through this project. This is the lighthouse at Southwick.
