This is the car that reversed into mine at a roundabout this evening, whose driver then made off as fast as s/he could, without stopping to check for damage. Nice. Luckily no real harm done to human or metal. But how rude is that? Anyone recognise the registration?

I don't know where they harvest these poor starfish from, I've only ever seen one washed up on the beach in England. There's always loads of them for sale at the seaside. Why would anyone want a dead starfish to take home?

We took Liam and his friend Charlie to Chessington today, we were really lucky with the weather; only two downpours and lots of sunshine. The sealions were amazing; so graceful in the water and so awkward looking out of it.

thinking of you

I got this card for my my mum today; had my dad still been alive, they would have been celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today. My mum told me that they got married early - 12 noon and afterwards dad's family went home and mum's family retired to the pub. Mum and dad caught the train down to Looe in Cornwall for their honeymoon.

I'd already taken my picture today and then when I went into our bedroom, there was this light and shadow from the window, which was moving and reflecting the branches from the tree outside onto the wall. I could have sat and watched it for ages, but a game of Risk beckons.

I went along to Liam's old school summer fayre this afternoon and their exhibition in the artrooms also happens to be on the www.adurarttrail.co.uk - open tomorrow and next weekend. Definitely worth a look.

We spent a great day at Hever with family; picnic, chatting, ice cream, a game of quoites, enjoying the sunshine and a bit of kite flying (until it broke).
